| Child of Mine, Know This is meant to be uniquely yours! |
In the development phase of this book, the most common request from readers was for a way to put their own pictures in the book. They wanted their children to know this was a book about them, not just a book for them. We didn't want to leave a blank space saying "put your picture here" because if you don't put a picture in, it looks unfinished. So we came up with a new, easy idea.
We designed the book with mostly standard-sized photographs (5x7, 4x6, 3.5x5 and 2x3) so you can easily use double-sided tape to insert your own photos on any or every page. |
 |
| You can easily insert a 5x7 photo (or other size) into the book. |
|
|
 |
| Once the picture is taped in, it's hard to tell that it's not original. |

| You can even personalize the title page or the back cover. |

The following tips will help you get started, but just use your imagination if you want to personalize your book.
- Photo Selection: Choose your favorite photos and simply find a similar-sized photo in the book to cover up with the one you are placing. You can even put your own photo on the back cover — that one is 3.5x5.
- Trimming: Trimming should not be necessary if you're using a standard-sized photo. But if you do need to trim your photo, make it slightly larger than the one you are covering up so the edges don't show.
- Tape: Use acid-free double-sided tape to adhere the photo to the page. Glue is not recommended, as this could cause your pages to warp or crinkle. If you make a mistake or change your mind about where you want the photo, try using Undo™ adhesive remover, which allows you to safely remove and reuse tape, and it won't harm your photos or the book. You can purchase Undo™ at craft or hobby stores.
- Your Own Dedication: On page 3, cover up the author's dedication with your own photo and hand-write your own dedication.
